There seems to be a lot of emotive posts here but people dont understand... civilians wont be issuing the tickets. They would just operate the cameras on behalf of the police. Police would be issuing the ticket. No different to someone handing Police a video tape of someone doing a burnout where the number plate is clearly visible. Civilians also fix and work on defence equipment..... (and most of whic i also oppose as defence has lost a lot of its skill base, but thats another story) And again, i wholly oppose the idea being mooted... "outsourcing" is just an excuse to privatise services at the expence of the people. Wasnt it NSW ? where a big bank owned one of the companies which wanted to operate speed cameras?

I'm assuming you don't have a beer? Don't smoke? Don't pay tax of any description?... Gov Co comes right out and says "you choose to do "this", we'll charge you"..you choose to do it and complain about being charged. Are we complaining about the legislation, or the consequences of the legislation?
