Default Turn my GT's painted rims into polished rims

I want to polish my current rims that came with my 04 GT. They are siver painted with a clear on them. But its all slowly peeling. I do think they would look good taken back and polished. question is, what tools and attatchmenst are best to get to do this for example flapper discs etc...
I know it will not be an easy task but one I would like to try. Any pointers and information on products to use would be much apreciated.
Cheers

damn ... I wouldn't want to try it myself .. I'd take it to a mag wheel repairer/refinisher myself.

Exactly, I had the old mags that came with the EA-EB Fairmont. The polisher put them in an acid bath to remove the coating and that bit of grey paint on the inside bit. Polished them (4 of) for $180. Came out an absolute treat. No photos as I have changed cars and bought a set of mags off JADED6.

Expect alot more than 180.00 for a set of late model GT rims. The design would be quite hard to get into every nook and cranny.

Mad Micks Wheel polishing and powder coating 95553766. :evil3:
He's a top bloke when it comes to a chat on the phone, quoted me $40 per rims powdercoated in a non metallic colour. :
He didn't even ask what wheels they were and would'nt matter if they're GT rims as they have their own way of stripping things. :

There is a place that quoted me $50 a rim powdercoated metallic for cash. I will search through my bookmarks and businesscards and find him. Based in Sydney.

Is it possible to get one-piece rims powder coated just in the centre?
