I just read that Holden have dropped the prices on Astra and are refunding between $250 - $1700 to 450 buyers. December sales Astra 154 and Cruze 1383.

Astra is becoming the Cruze also...or vise-versa...
Astra and Cruise share the same platform, and the Replacement for the current cruise will be branded as an Astra.

Wasn't it something to do with the automatic trannys? Near $3k more than manual ones!

Sales failure already. Have to laugh how Holden claimed they are pricing it at a premium price to keep profits up, but it lasts 2 months before they cut the price when no one buys them.
Good old GM/Holden, where sales volume is king, profits be damned. Never change GM, never change |

Can't say I'd buy a Cruze. A couple friends have owned them and couldn't get rid of them quick enough.
One woman had to get her kids out of the back seat when they got home because it couldn't make it up the driveway with passengers. |

Hopefully the new Astra/Cruze platform is more reliable than the current pos. I spend all day in my work Cruze, if it caught on fire, I wouldn't rush to find a garden hose.......
