Default weird symbol discovered under cover plate

ok so i removed the cover plate in the picture (opposite side though)


and in the yellow circled area i discovered a weird symbol

below is a crude drawing of what it looks like.


what the hell?

it was only on the right hand side and is definitely pressed with the panel, not etched.

however every other marked part has either an L or an R to indicate. why should this be any different makes no sense and why a strange shape and not something more regular

From what I know it usually means that the worker who last worked on this car has been sacked and 'gone' so they put a g on the side of the car or part they work on as a tell tale.

I’ve worked at (hate to say it But) GM (don’t work there now taken VSP package) :hihi: I think its a f#ck up probably a pubic hair fell into the press or injection mould when it was getting made. Sorry no aliens.

yeh my old man works there and he suggested something was is the press as well.


the symbol itself is about the actual size of my drawing
