i was always told by an old mate that one of the best oils around to this day is shell helix ultra, he was recommended to run it in his dev5 el and has loved it ever since. only its a w50 which might be a bit thick for these. but im also lost as to what to use after reading bad reports on the mobil 1 on a oil test that another member showed me awhile ago....im thinking i might give motul oil a shot next time around

Another Penrite HPR 10 user. Found Magnatec and Castrol Edge a bit noisey. I think it comes down to your car and what feels/sounds the best to you.

Cheers

I tried EDGE 20W50 in my AU and it didn.t fare well. First 1000-1500K's were great, by 5000 it was rattling. I now use Penrite HPR30. I haven't had a drama with it as yet. I have run it for 3 changes (15000k's/1yr) and my oil and filter gets done every 5000k's.

Castrol Edge is back on 1/2 price special at Supercheap. Been using it since this thread was started, and it seems to do it's job well.
