Ford doesn't want to make 100,000 GT500s. They want to make around 5,000.

The 5.8, while more than just a bore to 93.5mm, is very close the the 5.4, all the castings are the same with revisions to piece-parts Daniel |

The same author wrote an equally in-depth article on the 5.0 when it came out, but I can't seem to find it on the site. It's more than a year old, of course.

Some video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqx0YzQEATI
Don't be fooled by the title. This is by no means an "attack" on the 'Ring. But it's the first time I've noticed the quad exhaust tips.

So cool it's sick.
Checked out the link for the 2nd time. *sigh*.......sweet. When pics of the 2013 first showed up I remember noticing the quad exhaust and mentioned it to someone. We also noticed the sequential tail lights and the front end. I'd love to test this car out! Maybe one day. |

But I don't think quad exhaust outlets have been offered since at least the 1970 model year!

I want one! *sigh*............like it reads in the article, "it's the ultimate 'because' racecar." I want one! Yes it's capable. Yes it's brutal and beautiful at the same time. Would I race it? The answer is almost 100% no, well, drive fast is a definite yes. But it's sweet to know what it could do and that it's mine! I still want one. |

The back wheels of the new GT500 would be ballistic I would imagine. Ford Au now have an engine they could use to bring back (yes, here we go... again) the legendary GT-HO which would put the HSV W427 to shame if they could get it to handle well enough.

All they'd have to do is switch it back to a live axle. ;)
