No more x series falcon, they finished in the 80's. going back to x series again would just cause confusion.

Call it the... Ford Australia ** The last Australian designed and built Ford. Always a world beater, always Oz Sure it covers a lot of panel, but if our nexus brings out a Ute, I will buy one... (and then apply the appropriate sound proofing = )

That's rubbish.
The market has changed - fewer people than ever want Australian-built large family sedans, utes, or wagons. Blame the general public for not supporting local industry. The fact that people have run towards the Corolla over most other vehicles to me states that people are after bland, conservative designs that are reliable - or at least perceived as reliable. I don't blame Ford. It was the best business decision they could make given the circumstances. If you had a business that was not working, would you keep it open purely out of goodwill? I doubt you would.
