I actually own an Auto Surround from a series one with the original Tickford Adaptive shift still in place.

Tempted to sell the shroud, i spent ages trying to find an original badge, was either going to gut out the badge, or swap out the shroud, but ended up having to get rid of the car

Does this mean that this "Adaptive Shift" are is just a badge?
Which often just falls off?

I thought the blank spot on my shifter was a blank filler for a missing button, so I was about to start looking for another button or a whole shifter.
The reason why I thought that is my XR6 has had the engine and ecu swapped out, so I thought the adaptive shift parts might have been taken too?
And could I ask is the adaptive shift stuff only contained in the ECU? Or are parts of the actual transmission different too?
Thankyou.

Also thanks very much for the design work. I have contacted Duro-Lenz as referenced in this thread and will post back what the current pricing is (but why does almost everything to do with AU Falcons keep dragging me back to franga

Am trying to organise a quote from Duro-Lenz for an S2/S3 badge but I need to confirm a couple of things first;

The size based on that word document is;
maximum width - 42mm
maximum height - 22mm
However when I measure the empty space in my shifter, assuming a snug fit, the size seems more like;
maximum width - 44mm (maybe up to 45mm)
maximum height - 24mm (maybe up to 45mm)
Could someone please measure an actual one and let me know.

Also, the font in the word document seems much too narrow and not bold like the sample. Is it meant to be that to allow for spread? (I wouldn't have thought so). Or do I need to replace that font to match the sample? (I'll ask Duro-Lenz that question anyway).

Another note, I also contacted Jefferson Ford in Mentone VIC, who seem to be quite progressive with spares, having an ebay store, but they advised me both the series 1 and II/III badges are no longer supplied "long gone".

You could be right, I just played around in word, cut them out until they fitted. Left a bit of space around the outside so the lamination sheet would work so they should be a little smaller than a 'real one'

Cool Re: Tickford Adaptive shift image

Yes I just measured 45 by 25 with a ruler.
So 44 by 24 would be a safe fit.

Couldn't find one but will keep an eye out for you for newer style. They mustn't have been stuck down real well with so many missing. When I bought my XR the badge was already off but the owner had put it in the logbook. The very first thing I did to the car when I got it home was superglue that badge on .

Thx for that. Got a list of wreckers to try when I can make some time.
I can't believe that I was picking up some parts from a young guy parting out the other day, when I noticed the button on his shifter, which was the first time I realised I was missing mine. By that time someone had already beaten me to it. If I'd asked for it when I first called it would have been mine for 40 bucks :(

To help with the T3 adaptive shift badge, the vernier read 24 mm x 45mm.
The writing is bright silver, where as the surrounding logo is more of a bronzed colour that has a definite contrast.
Hope this helps.
These little buggers come loose and get sucked up by vacuum hoses, gonski just like that.

Am posting the quote details from Duro-Lenz.
To get 2 labels that look genuine is $250.

Not sure if I will be proceeding, as it's a lot of money for something that still isn't original.
Can't buy the original new any more according to Ford.
Have found 1 second hand for $100 but it's a long drive (still wish I hadn't overlooked the one I could have got for $50).

And given that every 2nd auto XR6 has the badge missing, not sure it's such an issue to me anymore. Especially in a car I will likely be selling.

"I can offer you a ‘prototype arrangement’.
If it is standard digital colours the cost is simply a flat $100 plus GST and delivery. You will get 2. If the colours have metallic in them like shiny gold or silver, the cost is $250 plus GST and delivery as these are screenprinted and the stock costs are significant.
The attached is a quote assuming it is standard digital CMYK colours. (no nothing metallic or sparkles)
As you can appreciate, the initial setup costs eat into the lower quantity and thus making them more expensive."

I've got some price lists to add but I'll have to post that later...have run out of time now.

I've been looking for epoxy dome stickers in 24mm by 45mm but no luck yet,

To get 2 labels just printed CMYK not metallic is $100.

I've got some price lists to add but I'll have to post that later...;
This is just for the CMYK version price list - without the above one off deal - domed labels - 24x44mm - high strength white stock (MPI2006) - Pressure Sensitive;
Qty - 2 - $126.50
Qty - 5 - $285.29
Qty - 10 - $287.87
Qty - 25 - $302.23

I would need to ask them to quote the screen printed version as well if anyone want to see it. Have stopped at this stage because the pricing looks like it will be too high for me. Probably still easier to hunt one down 2nd hand.
