It's curious to me that people are shocked when they discover that globalisation is a bad thing. This is not a modern revelation - globalisation only serves the "elite" that see ALL people as profits and loss. Anybody who has opposed it has been crushed into the ground and had their name besmirched by "historians".
The truth is that Australia doesn't really exist any more - nationalism is long dead and there is no going back now. The people that are in positions to really improve this country don't want to do it because they personally profit more from the alternative. Why would anyone employ 1 Australian when they can employ 4 Thai people to do the same job? Nothing is really done in the "national interest" any more, it's all about keeping the big investors happy. I mean, just look at the mining industry and the concessions they are given at the expense of this country and it's people. How much does this really benefit us in the long run and how much does it benefit the faceless shareholders in comparison? Australia has been sold out in every way imaginable. Young people have to sell their souls to afford to buy a home now because Chinese investors are buying up all the prime real estate. Free-trade agreements have destroyed any chance that Australian manufacturers had to compete on the international market. Even our defence force is a puppet of the globalist agenda, they will go wherever the profits take them and they will fight whatever war they are told to fight. Make no mistake, globalisation has always been about sheer profits without any thought given to the people. It was forced upon us but we are constantly being told it is for our benefit, to the point that people eat it up and believe it. Well, I'm sorry but I simply don't buy it for a second. Look at what happened to Gaddafi when he tried to move away from the USD and introduce a gold-backed currency - the global "elite" will demonise all that are foolish enough to oppose their financial system. That is all that globalisation is, it's a whip for the slave-masters. $6 an hour? Good for them, one day they too will be classed as being too expensive and the production will move onto another place - literally wherever it is most profitable to set up shop. |

its funny that little ol NZ should be ahead of you but all of our industries were taken over years ago and ironically its mostly australian companies because theyre bigger ....most of our banks ,retail shops ,transport companies etc for the same reasons your all saying...and its a lot our own fault for buying cheap goods from big warehouses which crushes small businesses
GREED Once one competitor gets there products assembled in china or wherever the rest have to follow suit or be un competitive its too late for us in NZ...we have no industry left all we do is milk cows and grow pine trees....we dont even process the logs which would keep people employed we send them raw the way i see it all you can do is slow the demise of peoples jobs , dont buy anything self drive (its coming real quick) , dont use automated checkouts at the supermarkets ,un manned servos etc scarey the way its going
