I have code 18 at the moment and it is a rainy day as well. It has never come up before either.

Might have a look under the seats tomorrow

Code 18 = Unexpected feature present. I wonder if it has detected water (in a drought).

Have checked most wires under the seats and they all seem ok, but airbag light is still on! Any ideas anyone?

Cheers

There is a recall for the BA's for this problem. Water is introduced via a leak somewhere can't remember what it says. But thew water sits in a loom and causes varios problems this one included.
I'll see if I can find it anywhere.

Can anybody help me with my fault. AUII air bag fault code 18 does the flashsing sequence 5 times then stays on as a solid airbag fault light .
How can it be fixed? Can it be reset? Is it safe to still drive the car? I've already checked the plugs under the seats - still no luck. If someone has experienced a similar problem - i would appreciate their advice on how to fix it as i want to avoid spending a fortune by taking it to Ford.

Found out that fault code 18 are seatbelt pre tensioners........ but which one left or right?

About $172 for each seatbelt pre tensioner, does anyone know whether its necessary to change both or just one? And which side does Fault Code 18 refer to?
Also does $172 sound fair?
