Pretty sure this is right, can't just have the front sensors always turned on. I think spyman confirmed it in one of the first interior pics he posted ages ago.

Yes it's the front parking sensor button.

No reason sensors couldn't be operated automatically at low speed like Mercedes do, front and rear.

The sensors switch off after you start to pick up speed.
The button allows you to turn them back on when you are driving into a parking position. Most cars with sensors have this button including the Commodores, Mercedes and BMW’s. |

In any event, I have no clue what you're talking about. Ford don't make any PoS.

Certainly hope that's sarcasm (especially with your previous cars)

You'll note that my post was in present tense, not past tense. Every one of Ford's current offerings, imported or otherwise, are close to the best, if not the best in its class.

I know this is just a very small thing, but it's interesting that we are referring to the FG X as the FGX (no space). I think it shows that we don't like the space in there, and me too.
Someone else pointed out that "Ford FG X XR8" looks and sounds silly. Maybe we enthusiasts will coin our own thing in the future, just shortening it to the FX or something.

XR font on the gauge face is the new style too, but this doesn't have it. Must be an early build.

Sounds and goes the same as my Euro4 FG XR6T did.
The person who posted the video said it was in normal D and on 91ULP.

There was a black mule kicking around Warrnambool today.
It had front and rear camo so couldnt really make out exactly what it was. It did have a bonnet bulge so its at least a V8. No pics. |

They test all their cars on 91, be interesting to use 98.
And FG X is enough of a mouthful thanks!

Bossxr8 do you know what colours the XR models will be available in, and by colours I don't mean the standard colours but the fancy ones they come out with like Blood Orange, Bionic blue etc. do you know of any?

I tend to think that the sooner everybody realizes the "X" is just Ford's tricky-dicky attempt to have a cool "3", then the FGX debate might settle down. The new car is still an FG..... let's all live with it eh! Do we not recall that the BF2 XT and Fairmont cars got a new bonnet, new lights, grill and front bar and perhaps a few other gizmos thrown in too? I don't recall any widespread uproar about that car not getting a new model designation?

FGX it is.
Actually FGX is less complicated than saying AU Series II, or BA Mark II etc, which are the official designations. |
