: I was at the ice-cream fridge at a servo today, had the monaco bar in my hot little hand and was just about to turn and head for the counter, when a honeycomb maxibon started calling to me, mmmmmmmmmmmm. Not a contest the maxibon looks almost twice the monacos size , it was delicious.

I grew up in the 80's, I love old school ice creams like the bubble o bill, barney banana, gaytime etc but you cannot beat the honeycomb maxibon. If anyone tries one and doesn't like it I will send them the money for it in the post.

951 for me, and on the 951st i decided i didnt like any of them, i take cash only. Anyone remember the magnum icecreams, the ones that were a mini magnum, dipped in caramel and then coated in another layer of chocolate, magnum indulgence i think they were called? I will have a lookout for the monaco bars as i havent had one for years. i have had a few of those icecream sandwhiches but they dont compare to the monaco bar of old. |

I am going to have to give the maxibon honeycomb a go! I have always treated maxibon like monarco bars poor brother. I shouldn't be so one eyed! ahaha. Its good to see so many people like ice cream and its just not me. I'll put another good old school one out there, remember Frisco? They where vinalla icecream on a stick covered in bicuit specked chocolate with a massive bit of caramel in the middle in a gold packet. They were goood

I've been eating those 'Ice Cream Sandwiches' you find in the freezers at Coles etc... They're not too bad! But I'm still thinking the originals are the way to go!

I had one the other night. Ice-cream seemed a bit soft (Probably the fridge I'd reckon)
Ended up making a mess! Maxibon is the future. http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=2xBYJr-FSFg BUT! Steer clear of the Maxibon Bites. Just ice-cream covered in chocolate. Nothing special really.

Barney banana was the best ice cream but last time I had one it had been stuffed up by who ever owns it now. Anyone that can remember them from back in the day when they had bits of blended banana in them will know what I'm talking about. I had a severe addiction to bubble o bill for a couple of years at school. I think I ate one every day. I'm not sure why, looking back they seem pretty toxic compared to some of the others

Mmmmmm, streets has a new Magnum sandwich. It closely resembles the all conquering Maxibon. First impressions are pretty good, if only Maxibon had a raspberry swirl .
