but seeing how you thought it was a good day, you must think that penalising the best is good for the sport. i assume you think it is correct in f1 too |

windsor for the win every time. as outback ute said, those are the REAL group c and a cars from the day. no replica/mock up's allowed, so they are simply irreplaceable these days, and worth ALOT of money, so any damage must be fixed. |

They reckon that there was 50 to 70 million dollars worth of cars there, racing, on the weekend!!!!!
I was there with my mates Lotus Cortina. Second in 1600's. Didn't like the heat much. The Biante cars are a fantastic class to watch. Love Tilley's GT. Damn animal that thing. Mustangs galore!!! grouse day.

What the hell were the Biante cars doing at a historic meeting anyway, because they sure as hell aren't historic? They are 3rd category cars and they surrounded their 5th category historic status in order to run in the Biante series.

Last year they had sports sedans running (well the national championship cars, not the Biante ones!), so they seem to be spreading their wings a bit. Not sure why exactly, but I'd expect it is driven by entry numbers - I thought there were fewer open wheelers there this year. Seems to be a bit of a trend in historics.

Meh Biante cars are still are built in the 60s and early 70s, they are todays representation of a historic car with modern components... great to watch and certainly a lot more pleasant to watch then Group N.

I have nothing against the Biante cars, it is just that they don't belong at a historic meet. For instance a Falcon Sprint with fiberglass panels wouldn't get a Group N Certificate of Description, because in Australia they only ever ran fiberglass paneled Sprints in Rallies.
