LUXO has posted a pic of where the UK Falcon Ute has its rear fog fitted. Looks to be a Hella unit, I think (Or RING brand).... It'll have its activating switch on the dashboard somewhere (water is wet). Quote:

Utes look funny with snow on them.
Circle work must be even funnier.

This is cool!
If I lived in the UK I would be hauling this bad-boy through the Chunnel and onto Germany's Autobahns ASAP, maybe even stop by the Nurburgring for a fast lap, followed by some spirited driving through the mind-blowing roads south of France and into Monte Carlo. Ohhh man I miss Europe, need to go back! For all of you who haven't been around Europe, do it! It's just the mecca of cars.

I think he means as the vehicle is not your standard domestic market vehicle ... it's classed as a modified Import vehicle ... just like some the grey market Jap Import vehicles brought into Australia (and the UK as well I guess).
UKXR8 ... I haven't seen that image in ages ... sooooo many London cabs. Has been a while since i was in London (was in 1988 when I was 10 years old)

ill take some proper pics
plenty mountain roads up here. we dont really use the term import tuner thats more a yank term. not to sure its only been referred to as a mental aussie motor so far lol. Been in London once only and it was an utter crap hole. Booked it in for a 3" system next week then ill get a stage one remap. hopefully some decent 18's once i find out what the actual centre bore is for the front and rear hubs. |

For further details.
There's a tyre technical section in the sub forums ... there's some gret information in there regarding the wheel sizing. I for the life of my can't remember the centre bore sizing ... but the wheel/tyre gurus will know all the specs you need to know.

Here is a UK site with plenty of Aussie Fords on it.
www.aus-ford-uk.co.uk/html/f6_typhoon.html I also lived in London in the early 90's and remember seeing a FE LTD running around. Last edited by Sgt.Sweetchuck; 04-04-2010 at 10:52 PM. |

Sort of staying close to the subject - Does anyone know of prices for importing a car from the U.K to Australia or even a link that I can have a look at to find out some info on the subject?
Cheers..

Good to see a Turbo Falcon over there. Not to start a fight but please find a Monaro or VXR8 and show them the Falcon is not a bad thing! That F6 would be fantastic to own over there having driven a couple over here.
Kudos to the company sending stuff over for servicing. One of the Scottish guys on the UK HSV/pistonheads forum is connected to a spare parts place up there. I know he has managed to cross reference all the EBC brake stuff for the Monaro and VXR8. You could maybe see if the EBC stuff is available for the Falcon too. Brakes and Suspension stuff is the bad stuff to send over as it weighs a ton! I sent some discs to the Middle East and they must have gone by rowing boat or road! Air freight was big $$$$ |

I moved to London in 89/90 and nearly bought an early 80's LTD, 1,500 quid from one of those dodgy East London car dealers, got beaten by a local who wanted a pimp mobile. As far as I know, it was an ex Oz embassy car, white in colour and had Granada tailights, iirc from a 1979 model which look very similar to the later 80's LTD's. I also knew a car wrecker located immediately to the south of the Blackwall tunnel (where the Millenium dome is) that had heaps of old Aussie Falcons, I intended removing the engine from an XA wagon they had and dropping it into the LTD. |
