My EAII Gl 4spd auto with the CPI engine. Sure the thing wasn't quick by any means but it was very comfortable and reliable. Looked schmick too, was painted like an EB Ghia (ie fully colour coded with a chrome strip), slightly lowered on EF ghia alloys, and the interior was like new.
I came from an XA and XC into the EA so it was so much of a leap forward interior design and comfort wise. Thats why it felt so great. Was simple to work on under the bonnet as well which helped in the final years of ownership.

Never owned a Falcon, but my grandparents' ED Fairmont is a gem. They've owned it since new (About 1994), and apart from a head gasket, and a coil it's never missed a beat.
Grandad died in 2006, but they always towed their caravan with it. I was nearly going to buy it a couple of years ago, but I just couldn't part with my VL. One day maybe. |

I've had heaps of Falcons and whilst I loved my GT, my favourite one was my old Pursuit Ute.
It was my first "special" car and I absolutely loved every bit about owning and flogging the backside out of it. The joys of having a V8 and company fuel card should be indulged by everyone atleast once It was the most driveable car I have ever owned or driven, there was no trouble you couldn't get into, or out of in that Ute. Black on black and immaculate to the day I handed her over. The GT is #2 on the list, times had changed and whilst it was my dream car, I was at a time in my life where I didn't appreciate what I had as much as I did when I got the Pursuit. |

I'd have to say my EL. Seems to be a lot of E-Series on this thread. Mine for the fact that even though I had endless problems with it (180,000k's, 2 heads, steering rack, pump, distributor, 3 ignition coils and more...) I just loved it! It just felt right. Felt like all Aussie cars should.
Yes it was a guzzler and even an LPG conversion halfway through my ownership still didn't help but the beauty of it was what really got me. It was one of those cars that everytime I left the house to get into the car I would sit there for a couple of seconds just looking at it! Loved it!!!
