Currently and loving it ......machine operator in the coal fields qld.
Got out of machines 15 years ago and have done a thousand different things too many to mention here.

I left school when I was 14 and did motor mechanics for three years, now although that was some time ago! looking back, that time spent in the trade set me up for a life time of tinkering with my own bikes and cars and also having confidence to help mates and strangers broken down on the side of the road.....

Feed a man a fish he eats for a day.....teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime

Pharmacist..... On cars I do basic stuff eg. maintenance, oil changes etc on the old rockets and between scheduled services on the missus' XR6T, little bit of welding, and currently doing all the panel work except for welding and spraying on a WB Statesman. Other recent jobs include the alternator swap on the EH (bad outcome, simple oversight > fried loom...) swap and rebuild of starter motor etc.... On Stato to date done the baremetal, removal of rust and fabrication of all repair sections to get a mate to weld them up, panel prep so he can spray etc, swapped the springs, dismantled it etc etc.... Basically anything too complex or that I don't feel comfortable with I know when I'm outta my depth and have plenty of mates more skilled lol

Hi BENT_8,
Get well soon. Been through the perforated bowel scenario, it can get very nasty (I turned septic day 4 post surgery but managed to fight my way back).

I hope yours is tiny as can be, all the very best.

Another aerial fencer here, make fences for spray planes, well that what i tell my aircraft mechanic mate. Just finished training to work on up to 66,000volts live. Yep, i play with 66kv while its still turned on.

As for mechanical maintenance on my car, services by the local Ford Dealership, but upgrades and repairs by either me or a mate that has his own mechanical repairs shop.

I.T Tech for the DEECD.

Damn good wages for my age and it's be a job for experience to go into other fields of I.T.

I do my own oil and coolant, will learn how to do plugs and leads (Presume it's as easy as oil, just have to buy the right plugs I spose) and want to make friends from here that can teach me how to do things like brakes, suspension, possibly an AU engine for the EB in the future ;)
