As they:
1. Don't improve the vehicle any (performance or dynamiacs).
2. Are purely cosmetic.

And before anyone says it, All Ford vehicles sold in Australia are designed as Fords from the get go. Not as one thing, then whack on some badges/stickers and imply that it's a whole new car when it's just the same vehicle you discontinued under another brand. Sounds like a Persian Rug company!

Well no as they r using the resources of being a multinational company.
As Ford did with the Festiva, and the Mondeo, and do with the Focus and Fiesta.
So are the Escape and Courier and Econovan rice then, as they are mazdas? methinks not moite.

Forgot about them, yeah bugger it, they can be rice too!
Though, the Courier has been re-engined and does have a separate unique body that Mazda doesn't use.
The Escape does have different body panels, is built in the States instead of Japan and has a completely different interior.
The only thing Ford on the Econovan is the badge....

Is the Maverick still on sale? Besides, everyone knew it. Why is Holden trying to hide the roots of it's re-badged Daewoos? Why does the CEO push these questions aside or answer the question with a question?
Anyway, a previous poster has driven us off topic.

That'd be mis-guided S3X!

The S3X thing is funny, the silly holden bashing and the silly pro holden posts are just irrelevant and boring. I like a bit of rivalry but there is a limit.

Just a Daewoo with Holden badges? Umm let me see...

1. It was designed by Mike Simcoe who is an AUSTRALIAN ex-Holden employee.
2. Engineered by GM with significant input from worldwide subsiduaries including Chevrolet and Holden. This is a newly developed vehicle, not some pre existing Daewoo.
3. Uses an AUSTRALIAN BUILT HFV6 engine.

The only thing Daewoo about it is the plant where it is built, where after significant investment from GM, production techniques and quality control have improved enormously. Also, Korea is not a third world country, they are well advanced with technology.

If only people would take their blinkers off and look at subjects like this constructively, they would see that things are nowhere near as bad as they are made out to be. But no... all I seem to get here is immature dribble and childish avatars.

i dont get why the 2wd varient is FWD though? even the 4wd version states it only engages the rear axel "when required" . sounds like mr daewoo stuck his finger in somewhere down the line

i dunno about the blinkers either, let's wait for the road test i think there are plenty of nervous people watching this car. just the holden fellas dont wanna admit that. but one thing's for sure there are already a butt load of competitor cars available here in aus to take it on

oh boo frickety hoo...

at least they had a reason for flogging you with the pink piccies...

They attacked me at Random. And you know what? I didnt mind because I took it in the spirit that it was given, It was a joke. Get the ИИИИ over it.

If we are all so deplorably immature and misguided then why are you still here?

NOW: back to the point of this thread. Taking the ИИИИ out of yet another stupid car name! (yes I understand that its a concept)...

Holden Captiva

Choice of 3.2L V6 or Turbo Diesel power...

Same size as X5, significantly lighter than Territory. 7 Seats, permanent AWD.

This sucker will give Territory a serious run for it's money & anyone who doesn't think that is just plain stupid. Especially when they see the sticker price...

the diesel power itself will sell it. i know many a people who want a territory but want diesel due to the petrol one sucking fuel like an alcho.
