I have actually seen one in Perth, and I wholeheartedly agree, they would have to be right up there as a radical beast, quite likely to scare the pants off any driver. However, being so out there doesnt make for a balanced, successful competition candidate. Full marks to them for having the balls to actually build it~!

No, just imported from SA, the owner had already imported a Perana. Dont really know how they would go licencing it. It was quite rough but was definitely the real McCoy. Remember, it was an old girl but complete and restorable. Puny brakes and any big torque motor would twist up that cardboard box body shell lots, but thats irrelevant.. it was the genuine article, in for an engine rebuild.

Yeah...would probably give him a hard time, getting rego, Perana Capri's here, have to get their brakes upgraded for rego. A Can Am Firenza?.....Engineers report at least....even then, maybe pushing it.

It would be allowed to drive to and from events, using the permit system in place in WA, getting registration approval is probably another issue again, but damn, it would be nice as a streeter, not just a special occasion vehicle.
Gotta love those potential "Supercars", even those from elsewhere. |

I remember I was 13 when it happened. But Evan Green years later wrote some cracking Aussie novels.
slightly of topic but in 1971 this was built by the Poms'!!!!!reckon the Aussie supercars would have been given a run for their money http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnqdI...eature=related |
