I was thinking of having a BBQ this weekend and getting out the ol smokey Joe webber, inviting a few mates around one of which owns a Toyota Aurion and asking him how it performs..lol, as I haven’t seen him for a while so it would be good to catch up with my old mate Joe.
I should start calling him "smokey Joe” with the fattest gun slinger Toyota in the west. |

It might be reasonably quick in a straight line but that is about all it can do. And by reasonably quick I mean 0-100 in mid 6's. |

This thread has surpassed many more before it fitting the ilk it is based upon.
Mr Aurion is just way too much. At first I thought he was joking and having a laugh, but this guy is serious. Time to sell the XR6T Hulk, you are way too cool for a measly FORD. Aurion V6 is where it's at now as you keep on trying to kid yourself. The Toyota forums are calling and I, as well as many others think you would be a great s. hit there. |

But would I won't one or would I buy one, not on your life, they are for pussy's and old people or just some poor dude that just can't comprehend what others do understand, what a real drivers car is all about. I don't find myself itching to drive the Aurion but just plodding around with the family it's ok as I can just live with driving it. but if it was mine I would hate it in no time. |

The base model atx is actually a banned car for p platers being over the 130kw / tonne. I think toyota is playing possum with their output. Keep most models under the power to weight ratio so p platers can drive them.. The ford and holden 6s are well under the power to weight limits... its why they are slower too.. Most n/a stock ford v8s are also well under.. (only boss 5.4 cars are over) Last edited by HULK_I6T; 18-08-2015 at 07:02 PM. |

With 4 in the car and luggage you know it lacks torque, I would say the Falcon 6 would eat it then. It's a nice little V6 Engine in the Aurion. |

Imagine what aurion will do being 300kg less? Flat 14 should be no worries.. most ford n/a stock v8s will have their pants pulled down by the aurion. |
