Interesting to see that Ford's local production is almost as high as Holden even though Falcon is having it's worst performance since the 1960s. The close figure is due to the success of the Territory.

Very impressive results by Toyota but also quite scary.
It's amazing how far a good reputation can go. I am still amazed that people buy a Camry over a Mazda 6 and a Corolla over a Mazda 3. Ford is still in the game though it's the profits that matter not the sales figure. I think the Territory pulls a healthy profit as they have a lot of private buyers and a lot of Ghias sold. I think 70% of Falcon sales are fleet where no money is made it would be better if Ford sold less cars at more of a profit. Look at BMW they make 10+ grand profit per vehicle on something that is realistically not much better than a Opel and look how many billions of dollars the tiny Porsche factory makes! |

yeh if you look at it that would suggest holden has the best sales in aus. ford the second and toyota last. which to my knowledge isnt exactly true?

Well for all the Toyota knockers, they export figures are good. Export means a future for Aussie makers and it also helps our trade deficit which is utterly woeful
Far enough, i agree that Mazda 6 is better than Camry, but if Sayid or Abdul in Saudi Arabia wants an Aussie Camry well thats good. Besides Abdul and Sayid probably thinks its built in Japan. Hope Toyota sell shed loads of Camry's o'seas, gotta say i hate seeing them here, but id rather see Camry's on the road than say a Kia Magentis or whatever they call em *By the way for all the jokes and that i think the Mitsu 380 is the 2nd most Australian car in Australia, pretty good despite having an import motor

Re Kluger, it's not being built in Australia. Expect to see it around August/September and expect it to be like Camry and Aurion offering a very good spec at a very competitive price.
