Unfortunately one person has been confirmed dead and two seriously injured and the gunman has not been detained.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/Nation...018972612.html

Lets hope the shooter is tracked down quickly and the family of the deceased person find out before the media does.

"It is believed the gunman fled on foot up and is still on the loose. The spokesman said witnesses reported a woman arguing with the gunman as they got out of a taxi. It is believed he was dragging her by the hair when two male bystanders came to her aid and all three were shot."

Taken from: http://www.news.com.au/adelaidenow/s...006301,00.html

Crazy, just crazy.

Stay safe everyone in the vicinity, and I hope they catch him soon!!

Nope, not caught.

He's wearing black jeans, a blue demin jacket, is around 170cm tall and has brown hair.

Goodluck to all. I hope he's caught soon!!

They are saying on the news at the moment that two men came to the aid of a women who was dragged out of a taxi by the gunman. The gunman then took out a handgun and shot the three of them and sadly it is reported that one of the good samaritans was the person killed.

Lets hope things come under control quickly and the families of the people involved are informed.

It is a very sad situation that people only trying to help have their lives changed/ended in a very dramatic way.

Hey guys,

I take it you've all heard about the shootings in the city by now - 3 people shot at point blank range on the corner of Willliam Street and Flinders Lane at about 8:30AM. One victim now confirmed dead and two critical at the Royal Melbourne.

Funny thing is, I work 2 seconds walk from where it happened, and at about the time it happened I would have been walking past! I am on 3 weeks annual leave starting today and hence I didn't go to work.

If I went to work you guys probably wouldn't have to worry about banning me.

Crazy.

BTW the building on the corner of William and Flinders Lane is 15 William Street, home to UCMS which is where I work. South down Flinders lane about 10 metres, you're at the base of Rialto Towers and directly across Flinders Lane is Riverside Plaza.

Both 15 William Street and Riverside Plaza are the home of a company called UCMS is where I work. I reckon at least one of the victims are employees of UCMS.

Hope it wasn't anyone from there though, I'm told that both buildings are in lock down.

It is two blocks from where I work, and the gun man fled in my direction.
Very scarey indeed.

Keep your heads down people. Sounds like a movie script actually, not trying to be flippant about it, but it sounds almost surreal.

A bloke with some serious problems no doubt

Surely he will be caught soon, with the taxi driver and witnesses seeing him, and the woman being still alive knowing who he was

It was also very quick work by all the police and special ops guys being on the scene so quick

Sadly I think reports are pointing to another incident of domestic violence.

Quite a tragic thing to happen in the full public eye. I heard one of the victims is in a critical way and the other only slightly better off. Hopefully we all learn some more when the female who was assaulted tells us a bit more.

So she is alive or dead? Either way its not going to be hard to track this guy down, obviously he was the lover/friend of the chick, and he should have been caught on the cab camera aswell.

I hope he is hunted down like the dog he is.

Heard on news might be a member of a large bikie gang who was involved in a shootout at jupiters casino at a boxing match a year or so ago

Yep they've named him on the news. They say they won't rest until he's found.
