Hi eb falcon gl,

Has the battery been changed lately?
Mine did that a few weeks ago after the battery was changed and the ECU lost the various idle settings. I had to then do the relearn procedure for the ECU and now its fine.

mine was doing that exact same thing ... replaced the plugs ... it went away ... if u don't replace them, then in time, maybe 2 weeks, ur car will start to feel like it's stalling when u put ur foot down on the accelerator ...

I'm thinking there may be an issue with the pressure switch on the steering rack. My understanding is that when you turn the wheel the power steering pump creates a strain on the engine dropping the revs, so the switch senses this and signals to ECU to compensate. Maybe the switch has failed?

Did you do the serviced or did you take it to workshop, and also do you know what was done on the service.

i had this very same problem recently.. ring the place where you got the service and see if your car had the computer upgraded. when i last had mine at work (i work at a ford dealership) i got the boys to do the diagnostic scan and update- it's usually part of a routine service. after that the car had the same symptoms as yours...apparently what happens is the memory for the o2 (oxygen) sensor gets erased. it then has to re-learn the correct calibrations to suit your driving style. after a little bit of driving- approx 100kms or so- it'll dial itself in and all is good. hope this helps in some way
