Question What else should I do this service?

Hey all

I have had a few issues with my car lately, broken steering rack, idle issues (drops down to about 400 every so often when A/C is on), Suspension problems.

I got all the suspenstion fixed the other week and it is handling like a dream. I bought my car with no log books so this year it hit 167'000 kms and im going to fix as much as i can.

My question is, during its major service this year what else should I get done ?

- Oil Change Yes
- Oil Filter Yes
- Battery Fluid Levels Yes
- Air Filter (or a re oil of aftermarket jobbies) Yes
- Check Brakes and Fluid Yes
- Replace Coolant, full system flush Yes
- Diff oil Yes
- Fuel Filter Yes
- Front Pads - depending greatly on pad composition and driving style (Replaced only 18 months ago)
- Transmission Servicing (Full Flush done only 12 months ago, will be topping up liquid due to the slight slipping i am getting)
- Rear Pads - depending greatly on pad composition and driving style (Replaced only 18 months ago)
- Plugs and Leads, check and replace if neccesary If Needed
- Fan belt If Needed
- Rear wheel bearings Just Done
- Front wheel bearings Just Done
- Rear sway bar bushes Just Done
- Front Shockies/ inspect ball joints for movement Just Done

Cheers
Jeff

Yeah not much else you can do, unless you start pulling things apart.
How much did it cost for the suspension work?

Going ahead with the custom door trims??

Im going to a friend of a friend actually, Redback Automotive in Penrith

I wont get mates rates or anything, just after a thorough check-up.

Will look into the brake flush thanks.

Suspension work was just over $3100. But it includes upgraded parts, and new lowered springs/shocks. All the details are in my build write-up.

Yes on the door trims, just holding off for now, might just DIY on the trims though.

Do you know if the 02 sensor has ever been replaced?

I replaced mine recently (100+Ks) and there was a noticeable difference in performance. Engine was probably in the order of 10% more responsive.

I haven't been anywhere to check fuel consumption figures but I would expect that to improve.

If you don't want to fork out for one on spec perhaps there is a known low km one that you could swap over (2 minute job) for a blat up the road?

If yours needs replacing you'll know straight away.

All sounds good mate.
I'd be getting the auto flushed and serviced twice a year.
My AU is high km,and now that I get the trans service every 3 months it seems to be soldiering on and on....without issue.
