Default Parker Globes

Just got to ask if theres any knack to getting out a parker globes.
I'm upgrading(trying to) them to white LED globes

My drivers side one appears stuck in the light housing.
The passenger side came out easy enough, I'm just stuck with the drivers side.

Or is it just that they are incredibly hard to remove ?

Hard to remove the first time anyway

After a few removals they tend to fall out so you think your parkers are out but find the globe has just fallen out of the hole

If i can't get it out soon, I'm going to have to pull out the whole head light to get at it.

Took me all of 5mins to do the passenger side, but i've spent a good hour or so on the other.
It just aint playing the game... :

Speaking of these, is there anywhere online (ebay preferably) where I can get a complete set of white LED globes for my headlights? They only seem to sell them in pairs for just the main lights.

I got my white LED parkers from Repco, just under $10.
I got white parkers cause i have HID's that im replacing my headlight globes with.
The parkers wont look so out of place then, I hope...
I also found ill have to get another set for my hi-beams too, another pair to order...

Watch out with putting LEDS for PARKERS in your HEADLIGHT assembly as they dont like heat and will stuff up sooner than later

Better option is Narva White Light Parker Globes

Also remember LEDS are directional so they may be dimmer as they wont use the reflectors on the inside of the headlight assembly

Thanks for that

I might have a look at those actually, I wasn't happy with the fitment of the LED's.
They don't quite fit all the way into the light properly, the Narva's might fit better...
Something for me to look at tomorrow

ive had LED's in my parkers for over a year. onto my 3rd set, cause ive had a couple fail. my problem is i always end up having the LED's fall out of the globe holder when i pull it out the back. so then the headlight has to come out.

which is ok. i can do it, and put it back in like 10-15 minutes now ive dont it that many times hahahhah

halogen globes are yuck. gonna hit up the HID"s too eventually.

The back falling out is a PITA for sure, done it a few times putting it back in.

Its because of that lip(see below)
Stops the globe from going all the way through.

Ones like this would be more the go, like a standard fitment

And I should have my HID's in before i see you next, I'll be sure to bring the AU ;)

my LED's look somewhat like that and i had no problems ramming back in, but the lip caused them to fall out when changing them.

but yeah its easy for me to do the headlights not so i dont mind.

awesome! looking forward to it.

If you reckon its bad on a Fairmont, you should try an XR! They take the T5 type globes and they are a real C--T to put in, I dropped mine about 3 times doing it!

I have a T10 LED under the shifter .. and I think the bugger fel out when i trie to put it back in ... it worked for like 2 days ... and hasn't since.

I couldn't be bothered pulling the centre console out again.

All i can say i think God my parkers haven't failed yet on me ... it's a headlight out job for me (as my parkers are in a different position in my headlights).

I dont use coloured globes anymore... Not after my last encounter.

The policeman was not happy with green parkers(in my XC) and defected me for it.
He has a bit of an attitude problem too i think, He's pulled me up twice since then for RBT checks...
So he says. :yeees:

I havnt had this much police attention since i sold my RX7
Every other cop likes the XC, except for him... Maybe he's HOLDEN man

So anyway i got the white light globes, well within the law and still not the norm.
