Gday all
anybody got a part number handy for these bits? As you can see, mine are pretty warped for some reason? Also, how do these attach? Do they just clip on or something? I didnt really look that hard but I figure thats about the only way they could. Cheers b2tf

Ones and underbonnet shot ... the other is a red X
I know waht you are meanign ... both mine have snapped lugs and move around .... and they are fadded as buggery as well. I have been meaning to look into it ... behind them there is a metal lug that slots and slide locks into place ... the other is a plastic clip from memory ... the plastic section is what breaks though. I have no pics of it ... but I am after both sides as well ... not sure what Ford want to charge ... not sure if wreckers have unmolested versions as well. I'd prefer new myself ... but will have a heart attack when i find out Ford's price. EDIT: ... you changed it on me ... bugger. They aren't warped at all ... what's wrong??? If you want to see warped ... you should see mine ... they are bowed more than old chinese ladies legs.

Austin, they pretty much pull straight off, there are 2 press in plugs about an inch from the top and bottom.
Sometimes they put some urethane to help them not move aswell so be weary of that when trying to remove them. Im sure that the part number would be same for all AU models, but the B series ones are a different colour so be weary of that aswell (AU being more grey, b series more black) Just a note, the sedans might have the rubber for the door on both side while the utes have only one, so the might be body specific. |

Ahhh ... yeah I can see that now ... you door pillar looks like it is just as bowed as well.
I'll have to have a look at mine and see as well. Any of your clips busted??? If not ... I'll even take your old B-pillar covers off you if you like ... they are nicer condition than mine.

Austin, best way to sort that out, take them off, use some urethane to stick them where they are bowing.

Geez man they are bowed alright.
How the hell could that happen Mechan1K - you've got a machine polisher right??? Most polishes will work on those. I know ultra gloss superpolish does. They will come back up. Just need some TLC

Thanks for the replies all, the urethane sounds like the go but what if I need to remove it down the track? :
Got me stuffed as to how/why these would bow so much, theyve been like that since i owned the car, i wonder if it has something to do with the heat or being in the sun etc?

The covers on the cabin just pull off. They have a clip on the top and the bottom. A little persuasion is all thats needed.
The door ones have a bolt in them at the bottom Cheers

Ok. just went and pulled mine off so you guys would know what you've got ahead.
The seal on the door side of the part is attached to the part and to the top of the door frame (about 3/4 inch long). It is attached to the door frame by double sided tape The only interesting markings on the parts are RH PART YR23-P31002-BBW LH PART YR23-P31003-BBW Picies included Cheers

I had a quick look at mine ... and from what I can see ... mine already has urethane behind it ... and it partly coming off anyway.
