I think Les Adams of Springnats and Autofest fame has something to do with that show.

Here is a bit of an idea of it, should be good.

Quote:
Filming has now been completed on the first series of Blood Sweat & Gears - a TV series for all car lovers! After 18 months of development, it was all over in 7 days and there are only a few more weeks until the series airs on Fox 8. for more info and to meet the finalists and their rides.

The first series of Turtle Wax's Blood Sweat & Gears was filmed late last month in Shepparton Victoria to coincide with the Spring Car Nationals. With so many quality entries we were excited to take 8 of the best cars in the country and pit them against each other. But as we all know, in the car world things rarely go to plan - on the eve of filming one of the finalists pulled out due to car troubles and so we were down to 7. When the camera began rolling the competition was fierce and throughout the challenges the leader board remained tight.

The challenges undertaken were:

1. Driveability
2. Speed
3. Super Sprint
4. Advanced Driver Course
5. Motorkarna
6. Go to Whoa
7. Show N Shine
8. Dyno

With Challenge King Nathan Luck and Driving Guru Ian Luff as our judging team, every competitor was in for a true and fair appraisal of not only their ride but also their own driving abilities.
Thanks to all who entered, each of you will be receiving a Turtle Wax kit in the mail soon. Stay tuned over the coming weeks as we introduce our finalists and dont forget to tune in January 19th on Fox 8 as Blood Sweat & Gears hits the airwaves.

Yep, looking forward to it. It should be great. It's good to have an Aussie car show on Fox rather than all the Yankee ones (nothing against them but it's good to have a home grown one).

Show was OK. I guessed the First, Second & Third. Brock Commodore is a well balanced car. The XU1 & XY were real fun to drive!

Bit embarrasing for the "mega HP boom tish" ricers and ferrari.. too much bling and not enough substance.... just shows big fancy rims or boost dont allways cut it for motorsport.
Hope it gets a bit more involved, for a first show it was ok i guess.

Well i could understand why he was pretty angry, he was competing against just "normal" Aussie cars, which probably cost 1/4 of his Ferrari.

If the Torry was more circuit than drag orientated it should probably win something like this... The rubber band tyre ricers wont do that well, especially when they keep breaking down with driveline issues!!!.

i was impressed by the show although a few less ethnics might of made it abit more enthrawling. 800hp from the rotor raised my eyebrows.
I hope they do it on a state by state basis.. Obviously Vic is getting the first run.. That mocked up XU2 Torana is a very tidy ride.

Good show but I am pretty disappointed about the lack of blue ovals 3 GMs andonly one Ford but oh well.

Did ya see when luffy was driving the commy how close the Simmons were to scraping the road with the rubber band tyres on it
