Default Bottom end power

Hi guys,
i am an owner of a 4dr mk2 rs2000 and was just wondering how i could improve the power at the bottom end. At the moment i am running a stock engine with the standard 32/36 DGAV carb.

get ur crank and pistons balanced
and ur flywheel

and an aggresive cam and exhaust extractors help alot also.

Go buy a lynx single side draught manifold and buy a weber or delorto. It is designed to help with torque. You could also get a high lift low duration cam. Supercharging would be the ultimate

And reduce flow and power,the standard manifold can flow better than some single side draught manifolds...............Be carefull

If you havent allready got them get some good quality headers and a 2 .1/4 exhaust,dont get an "agressive" cam as you power will come in late towards the rev limit on a stock engine and be a waste ,go a for a mild cam Regraph your dizzy,and then, go for twin side draughts for some nice power.

I dont really agree will just balancing to increase torque,that is more for higher revs and faster acceleration,but to get that you need to be able to feed it

Bottom end of the motor or the RPM range?

1. Bottom end of the motor. Pinto crank is Okay for 8500 RPM, the rods and pistons need to be changed to forged items. ( I made 125hp atw)

2. Low RPM torque requires improvement in volumetric efficiency in the engine - increase the compression ratio, dyno tune the car properly - but really get it to make power and enjoy. (Cossie head and 163hp atw)

3. Add a turbo (Cossie now 325hp atw)...............Look out for 400hp atw with the new upgrade.
