Default NSW Rego plate change charges

Guys

just a quick one as I can't make sense of the RTA's website, but I currently have my ute registered with standard issue NSW slimline plates. I want to change them to slimlines with content that I choose, and I know that it costs $30 to order them then $90 per year after that - no worries there. But what I want to know is, if I change the plates over now, do i have to re-pay my yearly rego again? I still have 11 months of rego left with the current plates and dont want to have to fork out again.

TIA

In a word. No.

It's just the charges associated with the new plates.
