Good evening all,
Just wondering if anyone out there can help me out. Smciner1 and I are about to build a ManCave(tm) or, Shed, to go with the new house. We were wondering if anyone out there has some high res copies of photos from the opening/building of the Ford Plant in Geelong. If no one has copies in their possession, but can point us in the right direction for copies... then that'd be great! We're talking high enough res to print, say, A3 copies out.... cheers, and thanks in advance. Belinda.

Found this a while ago:
http://www.slv.vic.gov.au/catalogues/index.html Some of the stuff on there http://fordforums.com.au/attachment....id=52026&stc=1 http://fordforums.com.au/attachment....id=52027&stc=1 http://fordforums.com.au/attachment....id=52028&stc=1 Click on the Pictures Catalogue link and search. I found these searching for 'ford', and there are factory photos of it getting built and some taken in the very early years if you search for 'ford factory.' It looks like you can purchase digital or hard copies of photos from the collections. |

In the stamping plant they have a board with a whole heap of photos that show the plant under construction and not long after it was opened. It would have been perfect for what you want, but buggered if I know how you could get them.
Ford Discovery Centre might be able to help you? They probably have a heap of old photos. |
