did you have any bonnet issues, is the pod filter better then the k and n filter,
does the pod filter make any difference over the high flow panal filter

Using an intake on my car to not using an intake netted me a couple of hp on the dyno, I think it was 2kw, but thats with a giant fan keeping things cool.

That's not half bad Matt. Thought about shortening the pipe, using a 9" K&N pod and making a lid?
EDIT: Actually just looking at that second pic that pretty bloody impressive. Well done.

yeh im waiting for my tig wire to come to me so i can tig the rest up,
that shield came off a au xr8 wreck, got it for nothing, becuase im going to fab stainless ones for something to do out of thin sheet stainless yeh i will shorten the pipe so it goes down behind the head light, going to use the measurments off it to make a lid,

Yes that's quite an impressive job......something constructive to add to the forums for a change! Well done!!
What did you have before those two custom setups you've done??? How would you rate the improvements performance wise - how noticeable is it??? How hot does the exposed bit of pipe get (the part running close to intake manifold that isn't protected by your shield)?

Its not steel, the pictures are of an intake thats fibreglass that he's pulled off a wrecked XR8. All he done was paint it.
He is going to make steel versions of it though to sell to us.

275 for a bit of plastic. little bit steep dont you think, dosent even include the pod, i think ill stay with mine,
taking her for a run tonight , see how she goes, also any one no where you can get the firbe glass sheets from, thinking of making a lid for it and running some 2 inch pipe from the bottom bumper grill to where the pod is cheers

$275 is about right, FG and B series boxes are around the $600 mark. Plastic will always be better than using metal.
In saying that unless yoru planning on bulk HP the factory intake is not exactly that restrictive.
