As long as it's the same year model as the car you are putting it in, you should be right. not sure if they did a 351W from 1998 though.

dont think so, you cant put a older engine into a newer car, must meet emission laws unless you run it on straight gas with a mod plate,

cheers matt

As of 2008, the Windsor engines including the 5.8 L (351 cu in) and 5.0 (cu in. 302) are still being manufactured; they are available as complete crate motors from Ford Racing and Performance Parts.

Nothing a flash tune carnt fix, once its passed emmisions then you can engineer it and depending on what state i think increasing capacity up to 0.8 or 0.9 dont need emmisions report according to this guy from SA who told me.

Contact ur local RTA and engineer and have a chat to them and they will give u some indication of what needs to be done but a standard 351 would be easy to pass with a custom flash tune.

That's spot on - you can have a 427 if you want. Just has to be certified to comply by an accredited engineer in your state.

Yeh once u have the 351 engineered get it RTA approved then go 4 ur life with mods like 427ci hehehe

At least when u get pulled over u have a report to produce which usually send them away but they may get u 2 go through the pits.
