Totally, after you have read all the details below about the hi-tech and space-age material input into this car! The Most Economic Car in the World will be on sale next year Better than Electric Car - 258 miles/gallon: IPO 2010 in Shanghai This is a single seated car From conception to production: 3 years and the company is headquartered in Hamburg , Germany . It was a concept a few years ago, but has been updated last year, it's the Volkswagen 1L concept.

I can see this is the way of the future. As in single seaters.
Daily driver this is, then if more people, then bring out the wagon.... |

Wouldn't be bad just to get to work in, all depends on how much the rego cost. If it's like a single seat bike then cool.

I wonder what the survivability would be of hitting another car - or a cyclist for that matter?

only have a few comments on this "car".
1. fuel economy, might have been judged on light throttle,highway/country rd driving which kind,a leads me to point 2. 2. safety. the backwash of a semi would throw that thing into next year ?, let alone hitting anything !. 3. ok might be fine for a shopping trolley but would you be caught driving one ?. hmm 4. (optional) i just think they,re downright ugly.

I don't know why everybodies worried about if they had a crash. If I had one I'd drive it with the same frame of mind when I ride a bike. And that's give way to everybody as it dosen't matter who's in the right, you'll come off second best. As my work is only about 5 mins from where I live it would be ideal. But you would never try and travel long distances in one.

I'd rather save myself the time and attach an engine to a coffin. Two jobs in one.

For those that think it's not safe, well it probably isn't compared to a conventional car, but compared to a bike then it is an improvement.
