Default car transporters, options

Hey people

does anyone have any info on car transporting companies that will transport across the country. Autotrans are useless as they will not transport a non-goer with no brakes. They would if it had brakes. I don't understand.

What other options have i for non going cars.

cheers

Mick

Try Ceva Logistics. I just transported a car from Brisbane to Melbourne. Was abit on the pricey side but they did an excellent job. I have also used them in the past to transport race cars from Vic to WA and back.

Speedy Car Carriers is what i used to get a non-goer from brisbane to melbourne.. cheapest by far and it got here the day after they picked it up. (They were $770 compared to an average of $950 - $1100 everywhere else). I know they are based in brasbane but i dont knwo if they do say WA to VIC etc..

I used CEVA also, and were very hapy with the service they provided! If memory serves me right, aren't CEVA affiliated with Toll?

My guess is it's too risky for them to move a vehicle on or off a truck or car loader without the brakes being operational. Simply a risk assessed factor they aren't willing to deal with - probably due to the requirements of their insurance company no doubt.

Does the vehicle have a functioning hand-brake at all? And no, Ceva are in no way affiliated with Toll.
