ssc aero has been around in prototype stages for years they did a 240mph test run back in 2007

I think in production versions ran 255MPH+, i only just seen it on Discovery channel and looked it up on the net.

the veyron is an engineers wet dream ..... everything from body to engine to interior wasnt just, "that'll do" it was designed tested and made better

This thing looks like a missile in black. As said been around for ages with multiple claims of 255mph+, just nothing seems to have been done to make it all official. I remember Clarkson dismissing it early on.

Only 1yr warranty across the car.

This car looks like every other super sports car, wheres the imagination? like the Veyron? the Veyron almost looks like its from outa space (yes i,m exagerating), I can,t help it, but i,m nuts over Veyron. i,m with S3SR on everything he said, but wait theres more.
What about the prestige of the name Bugatti, you are comparing apples with oranges my friend, not in the some class. But, it is faster, and thats oarsome!

Prestige maybe so. No its not apples with oranges. They are both SUPERCARS, anyway i only mentioned the Veyron due to its insanely high speed yardstick.

I will say though this car is much better on the eyes than the Veyron, which had a look that is still seeming to be unfinished. Sure the Veyron is dam fast and had a price tag to match and engineering thats inexplicably out of this world but hay Id sooner have this car if I could afford either.

the veyron is too much of a mish-mash.. its like theyve put a bentley and a lamborghini into a blender and voila - veyron.

Veyron isnt just a car. Its an engineering masterpiece.

basically the veyron makes alot of pretenders look like kit cars in comparison. The 7 speed DSG gearbox alone is amazing. Most car companies struggle to make a dsg with 6 gears that will handle 350hp let alone 1000+ and then 4wd on top .....its so much more than the record. VEYRON FTW

The question is, which one makes the most of its configuration? One is a W16 engine and the other is a V8 engine, both being turbo charged, I always like the underdog, the Veyron is an 8litre displacement, whats the aeros displacement?

SSC Ulltimate AERO is RWD AFAIK... happy to be corrected though. To me it looks like a diablo wannabe..not a bad thing though I admit.

Not so much on topic but remotely relevent. The other car that does it for me is this (in GTR Spec)

Thats me, i also like to be different aswell (I own an AU) so the Aero is for me, not that the Veyron is common

There a production aftermarket ford gt supercar with twin turbos that does 240+mph in a standing mile. I would have 3 of those before I'd even look at a veyron or a ssc.

The S7 is 5 miles long and 2 lanes wide like a jag xj220. The ssc however is based on a lotus exige.

The SSC Aero has held the title of 'Worlds fastest Production car' for over 2 years now, the the Veyron still a close second.

There is another car in the final stages of testing.. can't remember the name, but it is said to knock even the SSC Aero of the perch.. has a crazy output of around 2000HP if memory serves.

Keating TKR, 1800HP and already faster that SSC in testing.
