Default au ford radio removal

can anyone help me in removing my radio. i have unclipped it with the special tools but does not want to come out.the facia seems to want to come off first.any help would be appreciated.cheers

Did the same thing with mine used the tools but ended up ripping off faceplate, checked placement after and the tools were not pressing correctly on removal tabs guess try wiggling them around or just do what i did and then prise the bastard out with needle nose pliers and a flat screwdriver lol.

do what monty recomended all car audio places can do it for free usually, takes them 30 seconds.

other wise make sure the lower clip on each side is completely out if not it will get stuck, it should just slide out with out much force to the head unit.

+1 taking it to a car audio installed, Complete Car Audio over at Enoggera did it for me in about 10 seconds

I don't think I have the photos anymore but we took a hammer to the dash of a S1 Fairmont to get the bastard out, and it worked.... but destoryed half the dash :S
