Hi i have a 1969 ford capri that has been used as a drag car for the last few years and as far as i know hasn't been registered for several years. I'm looking at selling it but the buyer asked me about a compliance plate for rego. I checked and it doesn't have one. I have been told that because they were imported they wont have one and also cars before 1972 didnt come out with them.
Anyone with any info would be a big help. Thanks |

I think you can get a car registered without either the build or compliance plate being affixed, but you'd need to confirm this with the relevant State/Territory RTA. Hope this helps. Cheers Jamie |

Here's my 1969 Capri By The Numbers file for your reference. It'll help to explain the Vehicle ID Plate that should be on the car! Cheers, Terry
