Do any insurance companies in NSW do a pay by the month green slip policy? I am a little strapped for cash and cant afford a 12 month lump sum atm. Cheers.

I have never seen a month by month policy, having said that, they may still exist.
Perhaps do a 6 month policy? You can also pay for rego for 6 months. This is in NSW at least. |

I think any car in NSW can be rego'd for 6 months, but it has to be dont over the net. You also have to go into the RTA and tell them before you do it...so they can change your paperwork I assume.

6 Month rego is only available for renewal on line.
Anything where you have to do it in the RTA is 12 month only. So to get a new rego on a blue slipped car and an issue of new plates is 12 months only. The paperwork is automatically updated by the RTA when you take the 6 month option on line. They send you new papers and a label within 10 days or you can go into the office and get a new set of papers for free. No green slip place does pay by the month. |

He's not asking about rego or anything from the rta. He's asking if he can pay his greenslip $50 a month instead of $600 a year (for example). I'm pretty sure just about every major insurance company offers their policies with a monthly payment option. They will charge a bit extra though, probably 5 or 10 bucks a month extra.

No you can not do ctp monthly, RTA dictates the terms of CTP policies not the insurance companies. He will have to do 12 months as the car is being registered later than 21 days after the original rego was due. |

the 6 month rego and ctp is a lump sum payment...typicly 60% of the full yrs price.
only 3rd party/full comp can be monthly installment.

mate shop around the various providors and you will be astounded in the price differences.I just went through the whole greenslip crap last week for my xy and the price difference was 200 dollars.QBE was $460 NRMA $664.So much for cheaper greenslips when goverment privatised it years ago the price is getting out of control.
