I saw these at spare parts place in Adelaide and was thinking they don't look too bad on their own, but would I be killing the look of my car if fitted them?
On my car

Your stock looks better. Nice clean car by the way.
Also, do the aftermarket ones have the same / correct spread for night driving?

Thanks Atomic. I'm not sure about the spread of light. Anyone here have any answers on that?

I'm usually not into Altezzas but I reckon those would look so 'right' on your AU, personally.

I'd just paint the headlight bezel if you were after a look like that. Black like t series on mine.
Cheers

If you don't have an oven big enough for the headlights to fit into, it can be done with a heat gun as well. Just takes a little more patient. Cheers

There are a few members of the site with those. The look OK. I bought a set when they first came out - years ago. Back then they were rubbish - no way to adjust the light once fitted to the car. So I didn't even get to give them a proper test - just took them straight back for a refund. However one light was close to being properly adjusted when I fitted it; and in the few minutes that I drove with them on the light output and control was average to good from what I could tell. Someone who has them may come along and give you a better report.

There is/was a how to on the old AU falcon website.
I have started down this path as well, I am have decided on the painted bezel option. I have not read any good reviews on the performance of the was a Altezzas (front that is). From a looks only point of view they would be better on a dark colour AU, but they just don't look right from my view point. But each to his/her own. UK

Don't do it.
Paint your bezels as suggested. I use a hair dryer when opening my lights up. Works fine. Need to do it again soon to fix an angel eye.

I used to have those headlights ... but the chrome surround .... a long time ago.
They are the most crap headlights you could come across ... and the reflectors eventually yellowed as well. Do not do it. Definitely paint the outer bezels of your current headlights.

I think the consensus is NO. So I'm going to look at painting the bezels during the xmas break. Thanks for everyone who commented/voted.
