Default It's nice but i wouldn't have one

I was talking to a mate of mine not that long ago and we were discussing cars and what cars we'd like to have in the future both being young and reasonably ambitous.

I was thinking of things like a new GT, dodge chargers and jaguar e types and the like. While he was talking about merc amg's and m5's.

Now I know my taste is cheaper and a lot cruder. But I appreciate the on off system of simple motoring. Not having a billion different settings.

In this conversation I found myself saying a lot. "Its nice but I wouldn't have one". Another mate jumped in and said he love to just spend more on the car he has and get more power and more customisation.

So my question is what would you prefer.

1. Decent, and crudely quick
2. High price luxury quick.
3. Modified streeter

How about all three plus everything in between! I cant decide. EACH has a very big appeal to me. I like Practicality (Crude & rube but FAAYYYST). I like Luxury with a squirt, & a blower out of my bonnet.

My Favorites.
Aston Martin DBS.
Lamborghini Murcielago
BF/FG GT's
Dodge Viper
69 Dodge Charger
Bugatti Veyron
Ariel Atom
Ascari A10
T3 TL50 (wish there were more than 3 made)

A reckon that covers all that plus more. I Like your 3 plus a whole heap of others. Too many to list. I think you need a different car for each & every occasion or mood your in. Im not greedy. Just ambitious......

my vote is fast without 100 billion mechanical aids and settings, this isnt playstation only driver aids needed imho is ABS and traction control (only if it can be turned off) and for comfort power steer heater and aircon and it needs to be turbo/supercharged I mean the latest incarnation of the EVO and the WRX are straight from playstation, do we REALLY need to be able to change diff settings on the fly? in some cars diff ratio even, inho it is overcomplicating what should be a simple machine the more complications you add is more things you can break and need big $ to fix again, I will stick with my XR6 plenty fast enough with the right level of appointments, no ****y G force meter (GT-R35)

I love luxury, hell I almost bought a BA LTD not long ago, however I don't mind the simplicity of a basic car with a nice rumble coming from it. Simplicity sometimes isn't that bad

This poll definitely needs option 4 - all of the above.

Cars are kinda like music - there are many different genres. Some people are passionate about one particular genre and dont have much time for any others. Other people have a passing interest in all, or many genres. Very few people are truely passionate about all genres. And then there are the people who couldn't car less about any of them - these are the people who listen to top 40 music and drive Toyotas.

This isn't anything against you Mad Aussie, hoping you can shed some light for me actually

I've never really understood why someone would want to have a rust bucket that has enough torque to snap it in half, what is the great attraction if I might ask? I've seen an EL with 400hp and it looked like any other red el. Sure it's stealthy but it's somewhat boring, is there any other reason I'm missing here?
