Don't know if its the right place but thought I'd mention that SuperCheapAuto have a good sale going on at the moment....
2500kg Hyd Jack - $99 - Save $86 (45% off) 1250kg Engine Hoist - $199 - Save $163 (45% off) 560kg Engine Stand - $93.50 - Save $93.50 (50% off) 6000kg Press - $89.50 - Save $49.50 (35% off) 100 Amp MIG - $259.00 - Save $70 (20% off) etc etc - look at the brochure. I know SCA is rather cheap and sometimes rubbish - but for cheap tool you only need once or twice (except the jack!) I think they're ok. Anyway just saw this as I was trying to price up some tool incedently and figured others may be interested. Its on until 10/02/2011.

Thats what gets me with the SCA one too - My current cheap SCA one wouldn't fit under my EB, was a real bugger to get up in the air, then it wouldn't go high enough either...
That one above is ok - 133mm lowered then 483mm raised vs 140mm & 345mm (I think) of the cheaper one... Im considering!

Not ideal, but scrap timber is cheaper than replacing the jack. |

The SCA stuff is cheap, works well, but for the likes of the jacks, aren't worth it because you need another jack to lift the car before you can use the higher rated hydraulic SCA one. A pain in the aspidistra.

Not sure if this helps the people considering the jack from SCA. But I picked up one from Repco yesterday on sale half price for $50. (From $100) 1800kg 127mm - 420mm. Pretty happy with it

I've got an omega lift 2.5T item seen a few tyre places with it.
It was $200 from repco about 3years with 3T stands. Use it every second or third day and still lifts like new. |
