Default Keypad Compatability?

Hi all,

My mate's Au 2 has the same remote keypad as the BA. I like the alarm horn feature and generally like the look of the pad better than my standard series 1 item.

Can I get one for my series 1? Will I be able to enable the panic alarm function? Any ideas on the cost?

Anyone else done this?

Cheers,

George

What's the BEM jonbays? What would it cost? Would it be worth it?

Cheers,
George

Its the other computer like the ecu in the Left hand kick panel but its under the front of your centre console. It controls auto lights off, windscreen washer variable speed and auto on in reverse for the wagon and all that fun stuff.

I think its a TLA for Body equipment Module. wreckers will sell them but they are coded to the ecu and onnly a Ford service dept can get the ECU and BEM to want to talk to each other as a theft deterrent as it does the smartshield stuff too.

Ok, sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth! LOL

Thanks jonbays!
