hi, im really new to fords.
My 78 escort van is the first ford i have ever owned and boy does it need work . it has currently got a manual 4sp behind the 2L pinto. i need a automatic box because i cant drive manuals any more. im actually having trouble finding any escort auto box at them moment so i was wondering if a gearbox from a different ford would fit with minimal fuss. thank you any help would be greatly appreciated |

Auto version has a larger trans tunnel from factory - going manual to auto will need some panel work to make it fit.
