Firstly, can the bogans that seem to think that being FWD somehow affects the styling please leave this thread without commenting.
Any for everyone else, this is a serious question, is the Mondeo the best looking car under $100K, if not even more? It's just so well proportioned with the rear quarter panel probably being the least attractive angle but still not bad. An obvious competitor for the claim would be the Jag XF, but for me, the side profile of that isn't particularly attractive. Amazing front end, pretty rear end, but everything in-between is only average. The Telsla model S is quite impressive although I'm not sure if it's on sale yet, or at a sensible price. Honestly, if this car had a Jag or Alfa badge on it, the world would love it. It's larger than what I need or want but I'm tempted to buy a Titanium just because it's so damn beautiful. |

I love the wagon style and look forward to it on sale here in Australia, for me it couldn’t come soon enough.

Certainly the best looking of the current ford fish mouth styling.
Gets it just right on the mondeo, but on the smaller cars it's too much. Best looking car overall? Dunno, big call there. Mazda 6 is a sharp looker these days, and looks are objective. I think a ranger looks better than both. |

I wouldn't rate it in the top 5 best looking cars under 100.
But looks are subjective. It's not a bad looker at all anyway. |

I reckon its a stunning looking car, i really like fords global styling even though it changing in small ways all the time. Ppl hate the Focus ST, i love it and the mondeo is better again.
Also agree re Mazda 6 and the 3 aswell they look fantastic.

It is up there with some of the better looking passenger cars that's for sure.
In wagon format it is near perfection. But like others have said the Mazda range is also a looker and for me I do like the 2 and 4 series BMWs a little better. The latter scraping in under 100k (except the 435).

There's some stiff competition under $100k. The new C Class is one of the most gorgeous sedans I've ever seen in person. And as far as the Ford range goes, I personally rate FGX XR8 over Mondeo. |

it looks ok , but it doesn't look a lot different from the plethora of other new cars on sale today with very much the same styling.

I don't know if its the best as there are a lot of good looking cars under 100k. But I do really like the new model, especially the Titanium Wagon.

Only problem with the new Mondeo is it is now 2.5 years old ( as the Ford Fusion has been out for that long) and although the exterior still looks good, the interior is looking very dated and plain. Compare the mazda6 interior and its heads and shoulders above inside.

100k is a lot of bang for buck from a lot of manufacturers.
I'd be hard pressed to agree it's the best looking car under 50k there's some stiff competition there too. End of the day though everyone will have a different opinion on looks. It's not a bad effort from Ford and something the owners should be happy with.

I'd say center console wins on the mazda, driver dash wins on the mondeo. I know which one I spend more time looking at...

Also I'm all about the Model S P85D at the moment. Wish this Mondeo had some unique engines, like the 1.0 they get in Europe with a manual. |

The new Mimdeo is the best styled Ford ever. Isaw my first one today, the black mesh grille and body kit is design perfection. The porportions of this car are perfect from every angle, imo the only car that comes close design wise is the new Mazda 3. Honestly I cannot say enough about this car. I've even put off upgrading my ute and the new possibility is keeping the one I have now and putting one of these in the garage.
Without harping on about Ford marketing, I feel they really do have something special with this model and need to find a way to get as many bums on seats as possible. I can't wait to get into a dealership to check it out. What does anyone in the know reckon the possibility of an ST model is...? |

Woah...
I agree that the C Class looks good although it seems a little out of proportion. The S-Class looks much nicer IMO (essentially a stretched C Class). Mazda 6 looks good although the sticking-out-forward grill looks weird from the side profile. DB7 front and rear looks good, although as with the XF, the side profile lets it down. |
