What lead replacement additives are people using nowadays?
Interested what other V6 Capri owners are running but guess the question applies to any pre-1986 Ford owners. |

I used Morey's Power Lube before I reconditioned the heads on my LPG fuelled cars with stainless valves and hardened (stellite) seats.
Power lube is a bit of a misnomer, it's an upper cylinder head lubricant. You can buy a kit with a bottle/bracket and a rubber line that you plumb into under the butterflies of the carby, also comes with a thin brass barb and thread tap if you don't have a readily available vacuum source. Flow is regulated at the bottle via a tapered needle similar to an idle mixture screw. I went for the kit for the sake of convenience. http://www.moreyoil.co.nz/moreys-pow...cating-system/ You don't have to buy the kit, you can simply add it to your fuel tank after you fill up - not sure on the ratio/litre, it's on the bottle. Available from most of the big chain auto stores. Cheers!

Never used the stuff. Seventeen years since we lost leaded fuel and not one problem so far...

I use Premium 98 in a 1973 Cortina. No issues.
