Came across this article, if any truth to it, it'll go down the F series design path, could be interesting!!

I guess the fact that Wheels haven't taken down the images suggests that someone else took the pictures.. Last edited by jpd80; 26-02-2019 at 04:31 PM. |

You have to laugh though, if the lawyers and FoMoCo had of read more of the posts in the various sites where these photos re-appeared they may have realized the thoughts on it being a Ford weren't definitive and all they have achieved is confirm it.

is this the ford/vw amaranger
a ranger raptor with a 3.0 tdi from the A7 with 235kw and 650nm would be a game changer

Ford really can't do that because technically F100 was a full sized truck
and evolved int tie F150. Just spitballing, not factual What would be funny as, we get the futuristic look global Ranger while North America steps back in time with a Ranger that echoes Bronco styling. That would absolutely drive Jeep nuts...... |

Does it mean they’re any less boring because they were so popular? Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande have outsold all of their competition too. I’d rather be in the minority with a more unique car than the boring Thai made majority. |

So what engine can we expect in this, a new 1.6 4 cylinder quad turbo adblue BEAST!!
149kilowasps and a cool 454nm at a measly 500rpm yes you read that right! And the RAPTOR to have the all new Ecobluesport 1.0 3 cylinder making you guessed it 150kw a full kilowatt more! Yes!! Because you know you don't want a 2.7 TT V6 with whats that's stuff called petrol uggghhh.

Yes, Ford should stop selling what the masses want and what is profitable and start selling what a few individuals would possibly buy or just talk about at the pub.

Steering it back on track.....
I'm hoping that with R&D of the new Ranger needing to allow for a US version from scratch where petrol is the preferred choice we might get a future petrol version as well, or maybe a hybrid of some form however I'm more confident a more powerful diesel is definitely coming based on the Merc and VW having taken the high ground performance wise. We all realise that the only way Ford will provide any of this is if we tell them by either contacting directly, mentioning it to dealers or buying the opposition product so they see actual buyers deciding what they want. |

Funny enough I was driving a ranger back to back with my Falcon ute. The Falcon was nice...the Ranger like all the other duel cab utes.....boring.

I think it'd be great if the next gen Ranger (and all the dual cabs for that matter) became more car/SUV like in their execution... like F-Series etc
You can already see car makers are moving away from the commercial roots of these utes/trucks. I think Ranger Raptor hints at the future of the dual cab (at least for Ford) of better ride/handling and a more SUV/car like product |

If they made a Ranger Titanium with a few extras like air suspension, you may find a few CEO's would.
That's my suggestion for a 2022 ranger anyway.
