Default Another AU Prang!

My fairmont was involved in an accident today.

My dad was driving the car while a young bloke ran up the bum causes a rather large amount of damage.

Everyone was ok. SOmehow the kid hit the back, then the window, then the roof, then the bonnet and is ok. Just has a sore arm and leg..

All under out insurance so all is good.. ish.

Well the pics speak for itself. I will get some more up later.

(Boot, wing, rear bar, roof, bonnet are shagged...)

Man, that's a lot of damage for a young bloke running up your bum - how fast was he running?

Hope the roof isn't actually buckled enough for them to write it off.
Usually when there is a buckle in the roof of a vehicle it's an instant write-off.

I was thinking the same thing. If theres a slight buckle in the roof you could be up for another car. For your sake i hope they fix it as it is a nice looking falcon

The guy was doing "50" so he says. It may of been more by the looks the the damage. The lucky bugger will have approx 8,000 det to GIO.. So not so lucky.

I went and bought a daily driver today. EBII Falcon Spac. SO not as much of a hassle.

The car will live to see another day and will come back bigger and better!

Mate i feel for you! My missus has a 99 Au fairmont and she got rear ended by an old guy on New Years Eve, damage wasn't as bad as yours but it cost over $4000 to get it fixed, she was told by the panel beater that if she was driving a dunnydore she might have been seriously injured or killed. Apparently she was told the fairmonts fitted with the premium tow package have a thick metal plate behind the rear bumper that took most of the impact, so she was lucky!

Good luck with getting yours back on the road!
