hey, just wondered what the best cam would be for me.
i'll just be mainy doing day-to-day driving with a bit of spirited drving here and there. plans to take my car down the 1/4 (hopefully by the time FFAU drag day #3 comes around). would a DEV 3 be sutiable for my needs?

For most people in your position I usually suggest the 3HL kit.
And in your case an extractor upgrade

I would recommend the Dev3HL cam it worked well for me in the auto fairmont. No nasty surprises, lots more power, didn't need to change the ECU and good idle and mid range with a strong top end.

How much is the Dev3HL cam worth, fitted??
How does it affect hwy drivin fuel wise?? thanks guys Mark |

The cam didn't make it more economical thats for sure but no real difference at legal speeds on the highway. It will use more around town though maybe 10% more even!.
But if you are worried about the difference in fuel economy you would save lots of money by not buying the cam than you would spend on fuel after you bought it in a year. prices are all on the site http://www.jimmockmotorsport.com/ |
