Default Speed And Gear???

What gear do you guys sit on when your in a 50km/60km and an 80km speed limit.
i usually sit in 3rd or 4th in the 50/60 zone and 5th in the 80km zone.its just the fuel usage is huge sometimes.

i sit in neutral at 0km/hr, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th at 1 - 180km/hr

What ever I let the Auto pick, depends if I feel like using the BA shifter or not, but must the time I would say 4th.

I'm pretty much the same mate, although I won't use 5th below 80km/hr.

Well both 1st and reverse are usable at those speeds

1st sounds awesome :P Haven't tried 80kph in reverse yet... (why did I say "yet"?)

I use 5th at 60km or above and 4th from about 40km/h. Gotta love 4.11 diff gears! ;)

hmm I think the question was aimed at manual drivers. : :P

I usually sit in 4th for 60 zone, go back to 3rd if there's a hill, 5th crusin at 80 or back to 4th if under load/hill etc.

i choose 5th from 100 to 180 then i stop accelerating
mind you thats 180 up a 1 in 8 gradient hill and STILL accelerating take that commodore drivers

4th gear is good for 120+mph @ the drags with 3.45 diff gears...lol

I use 3rd until 60 - 70 (depending on the road, i'll stick in 3rd till 80 or so if it's uphill on a main road) and don't use 5th ever, only on the freeway to sydney which is 110 the whole way...
