Wondering if you guys can help me out?
We are taking a fresh look at how you guys want to see new car movies that we make. Just thought I'd ask the question and hopefully get some idea for the next production. Would you rather buy a car movie DVD at ,say $25 or be able to download it for, say $2 on a credit card / PayPal? The feature length would be between 30-60 mins and would need at least 256k broadband connection. The quality of the downloadable one would not be as good as the DVD, but good enough to watch on your computer. The downloadable would only be able to be viewed for 24 hrs on your own computer (As many times as you like). It would not be able to be burnt to CD / DVD. Thanks for your feedback guys. Cam |

Both. That way if its something we enjoy we can go get the DVD. Its like a "try before you buy".
I know I'd certainly check it out for $2 and, if its what I want, get the DVD.

Great idea about the discount at the end. Just need to work out how we would impliment it in the order system. As far as downloading costs, the bandwidth charge and credit card transaction fee is more than 50% of the $2. Thanx Cam |

If you make the download option available, you will probably open yourself to a bigger market. Ie: american enthusiasts, arabian enthusiasts etc. Especially if you used some of the new holdens in your features, as both these countries get the holdens, and would probably like to see them in action.

I would be happy to download a reasonbly high quality version of say 1 gig for $15. I don't like paying $25 for a disc because it just does'nt feel like there is value for money especially if my 2 year old daughter likes the taste of the disc, then I have no backup.

Prefer to down load and try before buying. I have 512k cable broadband and a 12gig plan. If it is good I will certainly buy the DVD.

If it's viewable it can be downloaded, just make it a $10-15 d/l with a choice of file sizes. Quick, easy and everybody wins :voldar02:

I'd rather watch at the cinema again! DVD for me, although I could see the value in both options being available.

Im not sure how I could activate a download straight away without a credit card as bank deposits usually take overnight. What if you received an e-mail with the link in it the following day? Would that work? cam |

I guess I'm the same in that regard, but its with my 'own films' that I make. After making a few films, you watch each bit over and over again, making small changes until your happy with the result. The last thing you want to do it watch it more times after you have finished the production lol cam |

Good call on the O.S. market. Are you suggesting I use Holdens? What role would they play in the next movie? I can think of a few but I'd probably get banned from this forum. lol cam |
