so how is it a scam? what actually are they scamming off you? all they ask you to do is ring a number or email them.
also take into account that it might be LEGIT, now you have just posted all the neccesary details for anyone to ring them up and claim it. what have you got to lose by emailing them or ringing them? (they obviously already have YOUR email addy anyway) Last edited by Kryton; 13-02-2005 at 07:13 PM. |

There was a simliar one like this a while ago where they say preety much the same thing then when you contact them you have to pay some sort of 'release' fee for the prize like $250 or something, they usually have some sort of reason for you to give them money first.

This is known as a "419" scam. If you contact them, they will definitely ask for money (release / guarantee fee) and you will never see a cent of your "lottery win".
Here is a link to a website that bait these scammers. Check out the "Letters Archive" section. |

no one ever wins $2million without entering somethin or having paid a shit load for the ticket.
its not the best of scams, coz all it does is gives them a chance to spam you, but anyone who thinks its legit needs help i "win" more than a few times a day.... :baby bott |

Looks like the exact same one...
http://www.419eater.com/html/user_subs/loki/419saga.pdf Whats even worse about the scam in that pdf is the fact that at the end of the guys email it says 'get your free-email from blah blah' that makes it look real genuine. Is it just me or can scammers not spell. They seem to have trouble constructing a sentance. A few years back we go an overseas magazine and it had a instance scratchy thing in it. Anyway scratch it oh we won $250,000.... not. Pay a huge release fee to someone on the other side of the world before you get your money.. yeah right!
